Steel Drum Island

Steve and Dawn Hendrickson met in high school in Orlando, Florida. Both had a passion for music and the ocean. After earning their degrees from Rollins College their journey led them to teaching scuba diving on cruise ships and then later navigating the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean as boat captains. While working in the islands they learned about steel drums and decided to devote their lives to playing and recording the relaxing sounds of the instrument, ultimately creating the "Steel Drum Island Collection". Steve and Dawn have performed throughout the US, Caribbean, Europe and Australia. Their company Tropical Music International, LLC grew into a successful worldwide music distribution company and talent agency. Their love of the Caribbean ultimately led them to the beautiful island of Curaçao where they now call home. Most evenings they can be found playing soothing tropical melodies during sunset at many resorts and restaurants on the island.
